Let's break this down into simpler terms... 📊 The May market numbers are in for Salt Lake County, but what do they actually mean for you? 🏡 The average sales price is now $570,000, up 1.6% from last year. Home values are still rising, just at a slower pace which is a good thing. 🔑 Closed sales were down 3.8%, while housing inventory climbed 7.6%. That means buyers have more choices and less competition than they did a year ago. Also a good thing! ⏳ Homes are also spending a little longer on the market, with days on market up 4.4%. Sellers can still be successful, but pricing and presentation matter more than ever, while this is significantly better news for buyers since they have more time to decide. So what's the takeaway? Buyers have more leverage and more opportunities than they've had in quite some time. And sellers who price strategically are still seeing success.
